Flux prompts

Photorealism from long, precise descriptions.

Flux (by Black Forest Labs) stands out for photorealism and for following long, detailed descriptions. The more specific the prompt about light, optics and colour, the more it shows.

That's exactly what VisualCodes codes add: technical camera, lighting and colour fragments Flux understands, joined with your subject in a single description.

Anatomy of a Flux prompt

Each colour is a part the Builder adds for you: no need to remember each tool's format.

How to use it with Flux

Three steps from the Builder.

  1. Build the combination in the Builder.
  2. Tap “Try in” → “Flux”: the prompt is copied and the Flux playground opens.
  3. Paste it, pick the ratio the prompt states and generate.

Where Flux works best

Use cases with recommended codes and ready combinations.

Tips

  • Describe the result positively: “clean plain background” works better than “no objects”.
  • Camera and optics codes (85 mm, shallow depth of field) show a lot in Flux.
  • If you use Flux on another site (Krea, Replicate…), the prompt is the same: paste it as is.

Common mistakes

  • Expecting “no text” to work like in Midjourney: Flux has no negative field.
  • Two-word prompts: Flux performs much better with detail.
  • Mixing contradictory styles (watercolour and photoreal) in one image.
